I was absolutely delighted this week when Ghost Legion was announced! This is the second novel featuring Solomon Akurra of the Alpha Legion, after Renegades: Harrowmaster in 2022(? Probably?), and it has a suitably epic cover:

You can find the article where Warhammer Community shares information about it (and the forthcoming Aestred Thurga: Pyre of Faith by the inimitable Danie Ware) here. I obviously can’t share anything more about the novel itself, but what I can do is share a reading list.
You see, Ghost Legion picks up a few different threads from different pieces I’ve written for Black Library since my first-ever short story for them (The Path Unclear), and while you can absolutely read Ghost Legion as a standalone novel (although probably advisable to have read Harrowmaster first), to get what I would consider to be the absolute very best experience from it, I would recommend the following:
The Path Unclear (short story)
Serpents Of Ardemis (short story)
Rites of Passage (novel)
The Brightest And Best (short story)
Renegades: Harrowmaster (novel)
The Tear of Selevia (short story)
The Long Promise (short story)
I know that’s a lot, and I would stress again that you don’t need to have read them all, but Black Library were kind enough to let me drop interlinked stuff here and there, and Ghost Legion is where some of them converge.
I hope you enjoy it, when it’s released.
